1. About Palmabook’s role

Palmabook.com is a visibility and comparison platform for hotels, villas, apartments and other stays.

We help travellers discover options before redirecting them to trusted partners to complete their reservation.

Once you leave Palmabook.com and reach Booking.com, your reservation is fully handled by Booking.com.

Booking.com is solely responsible for inventory, pricing, booking flow, customer service and travel services.

Palmabook.com cannot modify, cancel or refund any Booking.com reservation.

Palmabook.com is not responsible for Booking.com’s content, pricing, availability or customer support.

2. Relationship with Booking.com and AWIN

Palmabook.com participates in the Booking.com affiliate programme through the AWIN network.

All affiliate links use official AWIN tracking (e.g., awin1.com links containing Booking.com’s advertiser ID and Palmabook’s publisher ID).

Booking.com may pay Palmabook a commission for eligible “materialised” reservations (completed stays, flights or car rentals) made within the same browser session.

Cancelled, fraudulent or ineligible reservations do not generate commission.

3. How our redirect works

When you search or click “View on Booking.com” on Palmabook:

• Your destination text (e.g., city or hotel) is cleaned and encoded.
• A Booking.com search URL is generated.
• The URL is placed inside AWIN’s official tracking link.
• You are redirected once to AWIN, then immediately to Booking.com.

This redirect only happens after your explicit action.
Palmabook does not:

• use any HTML element that allows you to embed another HTML document, including iframes.
• install toolbars or browser extensions
• trigger auto-redirects or pop-ups
• store or process Booking.com login or payment data

4. Cashback, rewards and incentives

Palmabook may offer cashback or rewards where permitted by Booking.com rules.

If cashback is active, Palmabook will clearly indicate it.
Rules:

• Cashback applies only on eligible accommodation, car rental or flight rates
• Taxes, VAT, service fees and optional extras are excluded
• Cashback is payable only after Booking.com confirms completion and approves commission
• Payment may take up to 2 months after completion

“Cashback is calculated based on the rates for accommodation, car rentals and flights only and excluding any associated taxes, service fees, VAT, or other additional expenses. Cashback will be paid out 2 months after the completion of your accommodation stay, car rental or flights.”

If no cashback is displayed, no cashback applies.

5. Content standards and eligibility

Palmabook.com maintains a safe and compliant environment:

• No obscene, violent, hateful or illegal content
• No targeting of children under applicable age thresholds
• No use of Booking.com trademarks or confusing variations in domains, usernames or IDs
• No hosting of pirated or infringing content

6. Prohibited techniques

To protect users and partners, Palmabook strictly prohibits the following techniques. These rules align with AWIN, Booking.com and Google Ads requirements.

Palmabook does NOT:

  • use Booking.com trademarks in domains, subdomains or social handles

  • embed Booking.com inside iframes

  • install extensions, toolbars, adware or injected affiliate links

  • hijack Booking.com ads or impersonate Booking.com

  • use malware or harmful code

  • resell or sublicense AWIN tracking links

  • engage in black-hat SEO or deceptive redirection

AWIN Blacklist — explicitly prohibited traffic sources:

  • media buyers

  • browser extensions

  • blind traffic networks

Palmabook does not accept, buy or redirect any traffic originating from these sources.

7. Google Ads and paid media

Palmabook’s advertising rules:

• All ads send users to Palmabook.com, never directly to Booking.com
• No bidding on Booking.com brand terms or confusing variants
• Ads must clearly present Palmabook.com (no impersonation)
• Full compliance with Google Ads policies (trademarks, transparency, safety)
• No traffic from restricted sources (browser extensions, media buyer arbitrage, blind networks)

Palmabook does not run direct-link ads where the final URL is a Booking.com domain.

8. Data use, privacy and AI

Affiliate data (clicks, conversions, commissions) is used only for:

• performance analytics
• fraud prevention
• product improvement
• reporting to partners

Palmabook does NOT use Booking.com creatives, tracking links or affiliate data to train or improve AI systems without explicit written approval from Booking.com and AWIN.

Personal data is processed according to the Palmabook Privacy Policy.

9. Reporting, payments and de-duplication

Commissions are determined by Booking.com and AWIN.
Palmabook cannot control:

• which bookings qualify
• cancellations or fraud categories
• de-duplication of sales between marketing channels

Therefore, commission (and any cashback) cannot be guaranteed for every booking.

12. Redirect Controller & Technical Compliance

Palmabook.com uses a controlled and transparent redirect flow to connect users to Booking.com through the AWIN affiliate network.

This mechanism is intentionally designed to respect all Booking.com, AWIN and Google Ads technical and compliance requirements.

How the redirect controller works
Palmabook’s redirect only activates after a user action (such as clicking a button or submitting a search).
Our system:

  • receives the destination text the user voluntarily inputs

  • cleans and encodes it safely

  • generates a Booking.com search URL

  • inserts that URL inside AWIN’s authorised tracking link

  • performs one single redirect to AWIN, then immediately to Booking.com

What the controller does NOT do
To comply with Booking.com and AWIN rules, Palmabook does NOT:

  • use any HTML element that allows embedding another HTML document, including iframes

  • trigger auto-redirects, pop-unders, pop-ups or forced navigation

  • inject affiliate links using extensions, toolbars, scripts or software

  • modify, spoof or mask Booking.com URLs

  • access, store or process Booking.com login credentials, payment data or session details

  • interfere with, manipulate or alter Booking.com’s tracking systems

Compliance intent
Palmabook’s redirect controller aligns fully with:

  • Booking.com’s prohibition on iframe embedding and deceptive redirection
